Pathways- Community Employment Specialist in Frederick, Maryland For Sale

Nature of Work:
This is a direct service position offered by Way Station, Inc. through its Community Employment Program. The primary role of the employment specialist is to provide assistance to individuals with disabilities to obtain and maintain competitive employment in traditional community settings. Employment specialists conduct all phases of vocational services including engagement, assessment, job search, job development and job support.
Duties:
Would provide on-site and off-site job coaching services, provide employee development services, participate in job development/analyze potential job sites at area businesses, educate clients about entitlement systems and their responsibility for reporting required employment information to Social Security, DSS, IRS, etc., assist clients in accessing external resources and work incentives necessary to support vocational plans,
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred but an AA in a related field with at least two years of experience in an employment program is also acceptable plus two years of positively referenced relevant work experience.
Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
