Job Description Must be bi lingual and effectively communicate with Hispanic employees on a daily basis Must live within a mile radius of corporate office located in Frederick MD Please DO NOT APPLY if you don t meet the necessary requirements of the locality and bilingual in Spanish as well as the other requirements Thank you Site Safety Coordinator must be capable of working independently at large commercial construction sites Must be capable of recognizing job site hazards and getting them corrected immediately Job sites are large and require constant attention for safety compliance Must be proficient in taking care of a job site with over employees in various crafts on a daily basis Essential Duties Assist in development and coordination of project specific safety program Perform weekly Safety Meeting talks to crews including English speaking and Hispanic workforce Work closely on a daily basis with the jobsite Superintendent and Project Manager at the job sites to monitor safety issues and the mitigation of these problems Attend weekly Progress Meeting and communicate with subcontractor supervisors as to the safety status of each company at the job site Plan organize and control the safety function of the project ensuring effective accident prevention and loss control programs are maintained Ensure the appropriate measures are taken to comply with Corporate Federal and State laws and directives Direct installation of orange fence wooden guardrails wire rope guardrails barricades and danger tape for safety compliance Flexibility in going to different job locations after one is completed or sometimes a few in one day Order non standard or specialized safety equipment needed on the job Knowledge Skills and AbilitiesMUST BE BILINGUAL IN SPANISH AND ENGLISH FLUENTLYAttention to detail self motivated and good organizational skills Candidate must be dependable reliable and serve as the company liaison with Regulatory Agencies at the job site MOSH OSHA VOSH Must have previous experience as a Site Safety Coordinator working on construction job sites Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction software Strong communication planning and organization skills Multi tasking ability with attention to detail Ability to prioritize while meeting deadlines Communication skills Ability to interact with various trades managers and peers in a professional manner Education Experience College degree in Safety Management preferred college degree in Safety can be substituted for part of the working experience Reliable transportation to job sites is a must Training in OSHA Hr is preferred Company Description Morgan Keller Construction is a general contracting and construction management firm with offices in Frederick and Columbia Maryland Built on a foundation of quality craftsmanship and responsive service Morgan Keller s goal is to always exceed our client s expectations We strive to understand and satisfy the needs of the owner the constraints of the building site the specified materials and systems for the project and the architect s aesthetic intent Our business is flexible built around shifting markets and changing client needs At Morgan Keller Construction we value our employees and cultivate an environment that commands honesty integrity reliability commitment and teamwork Morgan Keller is always looking for talented energetic professionals to join our team
