Engineering Project Manager needed for a contract opportunity with Yohs client located in Frederick, MD.
The Big Picture : Top Skills You Should Possess:
: S. in Engineering or other technical education with adequate experience
: More than five (5) years experience and knowledge of project execution in a GMP environment
: Ability to read and understand P and IDs and construction drawings
: Familiarity with AutoCAD preferred
: Experience with automation or control systems (Rockwell Automation, Siemens Apogee) a plus
: Analytical and mathematical skills, and a solid understanding of the main principles of engineering, construction, and commissioning
: Requires knowledge of multiple technical disciplines and interaction with multiple departments
: Proven ability to complete tasks ranging from low to medium complexity (multi:stage assignments) without requiring constant supervision or micro:management
What Youll Be Doing:
: The Global Engineering Project Management department is responsible for delivery of capital projects
: Provide general administrative and technical support to the project under the direction of the Project Manager
: Work with internal customers as well as external service providers (architect / engineering firm, construction management firm, sub:contractors)
: Individual will work within an office setting and in an active construction site
: Work with the project customers to facilitate design reviews, gather information, and solve problems
: Review equipment lists, instrument lists, drawings, and specifications to ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness
: Liaise with the engineering and construction management firms to ensure RFIs are responded to in a timely manner and to assist in driving issues to resolution
: Assist the construction manager in identifying and correcting deficiencies during the construction or commissioning process
: Work with Facilities and Engineering (F and E) to identify locations of utility tie points, LOTO locations and equipment effected by shutdowns
: Assist F and E in identifying calibration needs and data entry into calibration management system
: Oversee the preparation and organization of project documentation and turn over packages to the operating group

: Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Project) and SharePoint
