Online applications must be received by February 24, xxxx Montgomery College, Germantown Campus, has need for a full-time, ACES Engagement Coordinator, Sxxxx9, in the ACES-Achieving Collegiate Excellence and Success Department. ACES is designed to create a seamless educational pathway and support structure for high school to college completion. The ACES Program is a collaborative effort among Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), Montgomery College (MC), and the Universities at Shady Grove (USG). The normal work schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Occasional weekend and evening hours may be required. Job duties include but are not limited to: Coordinate ACES Parent Program, grades 9-12, at ACES high schools. Coordinate parent meetings at high schools to help parents with the steps necessary for their students to go to college; market and communicate the benefits of the ACES Program. Act as liaison between the ACES Academic Coaches and parent program. Develop mechanisms to track ACES parent activities and involvement. Co-chair Parent Advisory Committee. Develop and manage parent newsletter. Present and refer parents to educational opportunities at Montgomery College. Develop community based service learning opportunities for ACES students in grades 11 and 12. Coordinate the Rising Juniors Summer Program. Engage college community in special projects for ACES programs and students. Promote ACES across the college community, soliciting college involvement. Develop relationships with college departments and programs. Provide presentations on ACES and represent ACES in various committees and workgroups. Required Qualifications: Master's degree, preferably in counseling, higher education, or psychology, or a related field. Minimum of Five (5) years working with at-risk students in a high school or college environment. Minimum of Three (3) years of experience in program management and /or community engagement. Minimum of Two (2) years of experience coordinating programs for parents and/or working with volunteers. Excellent public speaking, presentation and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills. Eligible applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States and not require employer visa sponsorship.
