Adjunct Geology Faculty - (Sterling) in Frederick, Maryland For Sale
The primary purpose of the academic division is to provide a diverse student population with high quality instruction in the Natural and Applied Sciences. Adjunct instructors needed at the Loudoun campus of NOVA (Sterling, VA) to teach introductory-level Geology courses in the summer, fall and spring semesters Duties and Responsibilities Teach introductory-level Geology lectures and labs. Incorporate teaching and learning strategies that have been demonstrated to promote student engagement, persistence and success. Adjunct faculty are employed to teach up to 12 credit hours in the fall and spring semester and/or up to 8 credit hours during summer session. Teaching load is based upon student enrollment and staffing needs. Instruction may be during the day, evening, or weekend. Compensation is per credit hour and based upon rank. The adjunct faculty appointment contains no guarantee of continued employment. Experience teaching with a course management system such as Blackboard. Prior experience at the community college level teaching Environmental Science
