We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Scientist I in Rockville, MD. The Associate Scientist I will report to the Laboratory Supervisor within the Toxicology lab, will work with minimal supervision and will partner closely with more senior scientists on new assignments. Key Responsibilities and Duties: - Responsible for initiation and timely completion of the work assigned for the Mammalian and Genetic Toxicology projects. - Responsible for understanding basic tests and assays. - Conduct pre-designed assays using basic laboratory techniques and skills. - Follow SOPs and relevant compliance regulations in regards to safety procedures, documentation and scientific responsibility. - Execute protocols; collect, process and present data. - Maintain study workbooks and stock solution batch records. - Working knowledge of good safety practices. - Demonstrate consistently good communication and interpersonal skills with employees, management and clients - Use and maintain scientific equipment, instrumentation and computer systems. Education Requirement: - BS in Chemistry or Biochemistry.
