Quality Assurance Associates/ Professionals will: 1. Monitor production/ operational quality: Through measurement of key quality characteristics of a process, by compiling and analyzing trends, observing adherence to standard operating procedures and batch record instructions, by execution of site specific quality assurance plans, or by execution of installation, operational and performance qualification protocols. The quality assurance specialist will communicate protocol non-conformances and work co-operatively to seek resolutions. The Quality Assurance Associate/ Professional relies on instructions and pre-determined procedures to perform the functions of the job according to their level of qualification in the relevant function. 2. Maintain equipment and ensure procedures used are current: A Quality Assurance Associate/ Professional is responsible for keeping all gauges and test machines used for monitoring quality within their associated track(s), calibrated and properly maintained. This can involve using test standards and masters as well as the involvement of third parties/ vendors to check readings and adjust tools accordingly. The Quality Assurance Associate/ Professional is also responsible for ensuring that any procedure they use is current and accurately reflect the processes they perform. 3. Continuous Improvement Activities: The Quality Assurance Associate/ Professional helps collect data or measure critical compliance values, works on SOP development, consolidation and enhancement as requested, change control and entry of data in support of these activities into the appropriate databases, generating activity reports as requested by Quality Assurance functional management. The Quality Assurance Associate/ Professional assists with the systematic prevention of non-conformances and identification of trends and conditions. 4. Customers and Suppliers: The Quality Assurance Associate/ Professional supports any measurement duties needed in resolving a customer complaint associated with the quality of the final product as directed by Quality Assurance functional leads. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: An entry level technical, operative or administrative position in Quality Assurance where developing skill may be limited to one functional area. The Lead Quality Assurance Associate impacts Quality Assurance functions in implementation of technical, operative or administrative processes of some complexity. Work is usually done in conjunction with other Associate or Professional staff. Internal or external client interaction is related to customer service of limited effect to clients. Education/Training High School Diploma or equivalent required and some college or university education recommended Business Experience • One to five years of relevant work experience recommended • A working knowledge of technical, operative or administrative methods and practices Knowledge/Skills • Proficient with personal computer skills, specifically Microsoft office applications, with the ability to learn new computer systems quickly. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Extremely adept in attention to detail/follow up. • Excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, planning/organization skills, and customer focus. • Ability to handle multiple tasks while ensuring timely and accurate completion. • Ability to work independently Working Conditions Environment - Office and warehouse, Exposure to dry ice, liquid nitrogen cryogenics, hazardous and infectious agents including the need to work in -20°C. Physical Requirements – Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours per day and able to lift up to 50lbs.
