Description:
You will provide testing and leadership support as a member of a dynamic team of business analysts, developers, and DBAs supporting a large ASP.Net and SQL Server based acquisition system at a US Veterans Administration (VA) facility in Frederick, MD. You will also manage a dedicated team of two Senior Test Engineers and coordinate adjunct testers for various releases consisting of Business Analysts and application Users;
: Participate in Release Scheduling, Configuration Management and Master Scheduling discussions and meetings with customers;
: Oversee all test events, managing multiple test events simultaneously defining and staffing the test events in four customer environments (test, pre:production, training, and production;
: Coordinate with developers, analysts, testing staff, and functional end users to create test plans and test scripts;
: Perform software testing and certify accuracy of test team results;
: Coordinate with test sites and other team participants to plan test events;
: Prepare and conduct performance testing using automation in Team Foundation Server;
: Write and approve test reports;
: Monitor and updates bug reports as needed including bug report closure.
Required Qualifications:
: Bachelors Degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required. Eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
: 10 years of Testing experience demonstrating progressively increasing capability.
: Experience managing test teams in Waterfall, Incremental, and Agile environments.
: Demonstrated experience with an understanding of hardware environments and operating environments necessary to complete assigned testing.
: Demonstrated technical expertise testing ASP.Net and MS SQL Server applications.
: Demonstrated experience writing, maintaining and enforcing a Master Test Plan based regimen.
: Demonstrated experience in writing and assisting in the development of test plans and test procedures.
: Experience tracking and preparing reports of testing activities such as, testing results, test case coverage, required resources, defects discovered and their status, and performance baselines.
: Two (2) Years as leader of a Test Team.
: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
: Three (3) years of experience as leader of a test team.
: Hands:on experience with automation of Application Testing using Team Foundation Server.
: Hands:on experience with automation of Performance Testing using Team Foundation Server.
: Experience with US Government acquisition / contracting processes. : A certification from a recognized authority as a Test Team Leader.
: ITIL Foundation or higher certification.
