This position for a Database Engineer is on of of our Health programs providing access to care for ourDoD beneficiares and their dependents. The Database Engineer will lead a team of engineers in an Agile/DevOps integrated program team to achieve the organizational mission of moving to a multi-tier/SOA-based architecture. Maintain production Oracle databases at over 200 production sites Support Oracle databases in virtualized development and test environments Manage data warehouse approximately 1TB in size Manage database schemas Manage Oracle RAC Manage and monitor SAN Evaluate and implement quarterly Oracle patches Automate routine tasks where possible Administer SQL database backups and restoration. Monitor database faults, performance, and capacity issues; prepare remediation reports and documentation. Experience with Unix (Solaris), Linux, and Windows operating systems Experience integrating baseline product changes into a production environment Advanced level of experience developing and maintaining SQL scripts and stored procedures, experience implementing and managing an Oracle RAC environment and SAN. Demonstrated experience in Oracle database management and monitoring and troubleshooting issues occurring at the production sites. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Analytical and Critical Thinking Skills Ability to handle stress and work well under pressure Ability to use MS Office Ability to use PC
