Salary: Salary dependent with experience. Job Summary: The Driver/Installer is responsible for the receiving, and installation of office furniture at customer sites. The Driver/Installer will also spend time doing service work for customers throughout Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. PVI Office Furniture Plus depends on its Driver/Installer to provide a high level of customer service and satisfaction to our customers. As a Driver/Installer for PVI Office Furniture Plus you are our companies' greatest selling point and providing a seamless stress free experience for our clients and it is the utmost importance. Job Description: Execute disassemble and reassemble of all office systems furniture.Recommend solutions to improvise and redesign on job site, or customize in order to get the job completedProperly load and pack truck for deliveriesProperly install wall attachments, i.e. white boards, wall channels, panel attachment and bracketsExperience with architectural walls is a bonusplete metal touch up and wood touch up if necessaryProvide backup assistance for all warehouse duties if neededAdherence to Operations procedures and policies and standards of conduct off siteplete and submit required paperwork, i.e. Timesheets, Merchandise Return Forms, Delivery Tickets, Change Orders and Punch Lists in a timely manner Qualifications: Understanding and knowledge of product lines and services offered.Effective customer service skillsAbility to follow instructions and adhere to department and company policies and proceduresShould possess excellent communication skills; both verbal and writtenUncrate, assemble, and install office furniture at various locations.Mindful of maintaining safety in the work environmentUnderstanding of and effective use of blue prints, elevations, typical and specifications having to do with all office furniture system as needed.Having own tool set requiredPosition requires ownership/access to a reliable vehicleAbility to meet established deadlines Qualifications As A Driver/Installer For PVI Office Furniture Plus: Follow route and time schedule.Follow DOT regulations and safety standards.Load and unload trucks.Ensure all deliveries are signed for.Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver's license.You must be able to be accepted onto our commercial insurance as a condition of employmentMust have at least 1 year of experience driving 18ft and 24ft trucks.Must be flexible with work schedules. Weekends and overtime may be required. Experience/Training/Education/Certification: One or more years of related work experience; installation of commercial office furniture preferred.High School degree or equivalent required Work Environment: Work is performed in a typical interior/office work environment. Respect and understanding of how an office operates is a necessity. Heavy physical activity required, installers will routinely have to move, and lift heavy items weighing over 50 pounds.
