Job Description
Position Summary: It is the responsibility of the Packing Supervisor to oversee the productivity of the Packing and Shipping departments. Understanding the importance of accuracy the Packing Supervisor must ensure that daily shipping goals are met through prioritizing the work load and distribution of work amongst staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Must work closely with the Picking Supervisor and LEFH Team Leader to ensure priority orders are shipped out by the end of the day.
Must build a working relationship with our UPS representative to handle changes to our closing schedule, changes to addresses, locating missing packages and ensure all UPS machines are working correctly.
Must build a relationship with our shipping supply vendors; maintaining inventory on all box sizes and other required materials for packing such as tape, UPS labels, boxes, tissue paper, envelopes, chip board, etc.
Must work with the Sample Set Supervisor and Corporate staff to ensure all sample sets are shipped according to the schedule in the system and packed accurately.
During sample set returns is the responsibility of the Packing Manager to oversee all sample set returns, tracking sample sets returned and still in the field, work with Quality Control to push through priority pieces in a timely fashion and report on status to Senior Leadership
Maintain accurate spreadsheets on sample set shipments, sample set returns, UPS manifest, and LEFH documentation of shipped goods
Must analyze the work flow and shift resources accordingly.
Job Requirements:
Required to complete weekly payroll for the Packing and Shipping Department.
Required to work with senior management to establish daily, weekly, and monthly goals for the department.
Required to assist staff on the floor as needed, including packing main line, sample set, sample set returns, LEFH distributions, LEFH consultant orders, and shipping on the UPS machine
Required to have computer skills to complete excel spreadsheets, email co-workers, and handle daily reports on department productivity.
Required to maintain a safe working environment while following all company procedures and policies.
Required to be able to tape, prepare, handle and lift boxes up to 50 pounds in weight.
Required to have at least two years of warehouse management experience.
This position is a Non-Exempt position. Working 8am to 5pm daily with occasional overtime and potentially a Saturday as needed.
